Lions at Large Update: Supporting the Pride of Cheltenham and Gloucester

Partnering with the Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals Charity for this inspiring initiative has been an honour, allowing us to make a meaningful impact in our local community.

This event not only brings people together but also raises crucial funds for The Big Space Cancer Appeal, a cause that is deeply close to our hearts.

About our Lion

Our lion sculpture is being brought to life by the exceptionally talented artist Phil Daniels, who has shared his initial design concept with us, offering a glimpse of the colours, patterns, and vision that will bring our lion to life. While we’d love nothing more than to give you a sneak peek, we have to keep it all under wraps for now!

What we can share is that the sculpture’s progress is going really well, and it won’t be long before we can unveil it to the community. Keep an eye out for more updates in the coming weeks—we already know it’s going to be stunning.

Lions at Large: A Roaring Celebration

The Lions at Large – Pride of Gloucestershire Trail promises to be an unforgettable experience for everyone in Cheltenham, Gloucester, and the surrounding areas. Featuring over 30 spectacular lion sculptures, each uniquely painted by talented local artists, this event is a brilliant way to celebrate the areas rich history, culture, and diversity.

Supporting The Big Space Cancer Appeal

At the heart of the Lions at Large event is a deeply important cause, The Big Space Cancer Appeal. This ambitious £17.5 million project has already achieved an impressive milestone, raising £8.5 million. Now, with £9 million still to go, for a brand-new, cutting-edge cancer care centre at Cheltenham General Hospital. It will transform the way patients in our community experience treatment and recovery.
