Arthur Spriggs Expands Aftersales Support for Daimler Buses with New eCitaro Agreement

Arthur Spriggs & Sons Tewkesbury, UK – 28th June 202 – Arthur Spriggs is pleased to announce a significant enhancement to its Aftersales support services for Daimler Buses. Building on their established BusWorld status for large bus and coach products, Arthur Spriggs has entered into a new agreement with Daimler Buses for the Aftersales support of electric drive buses, specifically the Mercedes-Benz eCitaro. This development comes as part of a substantial investment aimed at better serving the needs of our customers.

Enhancing Customer Support

The new agreement allows Arthur Spriggs to provide comprehensive Aftersales support for the eCitaro, either at our Tewkesbury facility or directly at customer locations. This flexibility ensures that customers receive timely and efficient service, reducing downtime and maintaining the operational readiness of their electric fleets.

Investment in Advanced Equipment

In line with this commitment, Arthur Spriggs has invested in state-of-the-art equipment to facilitate superior service delivery. This includes a 40kW mobile charging unit, which enables on-site charging and maintenance, and a bespoke working platform. The working platform is designed to ensure the safety of our technicians when performing repairs at the roof level of the City Bus, particularly for the high-voltage system and batteries located on the roof.

Training and Development

Arthur Spriggs recognises the importance of specialised training to support the high-tech needs of electric vehicles. Our team has completed Level 2 High Voltage Awareness training, ensuring that our technicians are well-equipped to handle the complexities of electric bus maintenance. Further training is planned for 2024/25 to enhance our team’s expertise and capabilities.
